Her goal was to be a sports broadcaster. Taft's broadcasting career started with Fox Sports North in the position of a journalist on the sideline and regional affiliate after she received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. The reporter also reported on sports, worked on social media and hosted various occasions. She was soon transferred into Fox Sports 1 News and Highlights. She also worked concurrently as the sideline reporter for college football before being elevated to the post as the lead college football reporter alongside Gus Johnson.
